Missions & Ministry

We will have a float in the parade on July 3rd.

Our mission team went to Lynch, Kentucky in April.  They delivered 569 seed packets that FBC collected for those residents to plant in their gardens.  While there, the team worked on a variety of projects, including painting, patching roofs, organizing supplies, and working on a community baseball field.  The team will be returning in the fall to work in the processing center for Operation Christmas Child.  If you have a desire to serve others in this impoverished region of Appalachia, please contact us concerning joining us in this worthy mission endeavor.

First Baptist Church has become active in the Sacks of Love program, to help feed hungry children here in Staunton, by sponsoring 55 children at Bessie Weller Elementary School.  Volunteers purchase and pack food, which is given to the children to take home with them to have over the weekend.

See the Operation Christmas Child page for information about the 2010 emphasis at First Baptist and in our surrounding community.

Vacation Bible School will be held every Tuesday in the month of July in the park, 6:45 - 8:30 PM.  Join us for "Round Up at Saddle Ridge"!
